The Firmament does not allow victories to rest.

Season 2 opened under the shadow of the Trophy Trial, with the Cunning Champions holding both the Trophy and the momentum. The question entering Trial #1 was simple: was that victory a singular culmination, or the beginning of something sustained?

This was also our first experiment with 12-person pods and three pods per round — a structural shift that forced tighter coordination, sharper counterplay, and far less room for individual error. The scale alone changed the feel of the night. More voices. More angles. More chaos to manage.

By the end of the evening, one thing was inevitable. The Champions have won again.

ROUND 1: THE CHAIRS AT THE FRONT

Round One made it immediately clear that leadership was not staying on the sidelines.

In Pod A, the Champions were represented by Council member TejonMx, who secured both Brawlmaster and Survivalist, anchoring the pod early. Cephalon9999 answered with Shardmaster for the Pathfinders, preventing a clean sweep. For now.

Pod B showed clear balance across three Accords. Bushbat of the Champions claimed Survivalist, and protonprime proved why he’s chair of the Pathfinders with a Shardmaster win. XN-1005 of the Xandrians kept the Handlers on the leaderboard by scraping out a Brawlmaster win. Three out of four Accords showed their mettle.

Pod C belonged to the Warriors. Mediados, their Chair, delivered a double win condition with Brawlmaster and Survivalist, while Beezneezy, Chair of the Champions, secured Shardmaster. It was a statement that the Warriors were not content to watch the season unfold from behind.

ROUND 2: COUNTERPLAY AND CONTROL

Round Two compressed the field.

Pod A split three ways again. Schumaniac secured Brawlmaster for the Champions. XN-1022 claimed Survivalist for the Xandrians, while protonprime continued steady accumulation with Shardmaster. Pod B swung heavily toward the Pathfinders, almost seeming like hope for the Purple Banners. Cephalon9999 secured both Brawlmaster and Shardmaster in a decisive showing, while MadJack claimed Survivalist for the Warriors. For a moment, it felt like the Pathfinder machine was warming up. But the Champions were close behind. Pod C returned to familiar territory. Mediados once again secured a double with Brawlmaster and Survivalist for the Warriors. Beezneezy answered with Shardmaster, keeping Champions firmly in contention.

ROUND 3: HOLDING THE EDGE

By Round Three, it was clear that this Trial would not be decided by a single explosive collapse.

Pod A distributed wins across all three Accords. Cephalon9999 secured Shardmaster, TejonMx claimed Survivalist, and XN-1187 captured Brawlmaster, in a crushing blow for all those who oppose the Xandrian Handlers.

Pod B saw Beezneezy take Survivalist, Macky secure Brawlmaster for the Champions, and protonprime add Shardmaster for the Pathfinders. It was steady, controlled scoring, the kind that closes Trials.

Pod C closed with Skwatcher claiming Brawlmaster for the Warriors, Bushbat securing Shardmaster for the Champions, and MadJack taking Survivalist.

No pod was clean, no one Accord was buried or vanished under another, but the accumulation clearly favoured one side.

THE ACCORD WARS MOVING FORWARD

Season 2 has opened with a clear signal.

The Cunning Champions are no longer chasing legitimacy. They are defending it.

The Pathfinders remain organized and dangerous, particularly with Cephalon and protonprime anchoring consistency. The Warriors continue to show explosive potential through Mediados’ leadership and aggressive doubles. The Xandrians remain opportunistic disruptors within the expanded pod format.

The introduction of 12-person pods has shifted the texture of play. Larger fields reward coordination and punish hesitation. If this structure holds, Accords will need tighter internal communication than ever before.

Back-to-back wins do not guarantee a season. But they do set the tone.
